Appearance:

He is not only an admirable poet but also has an impressive and strong personality. He is a tall and handsome man. This white-skinned man looks like Turks because his ancestors were soldiers. He also built soldiers for this reason.

hobbies:

Ghalib’s call for poetry is instinctive. He is a man of his own will. If he had anything inherited he would have formed out to be a soldier like his ancestors. I rather call it intuitive ability that he perceived and responded with his intellect. ut we find no evidence of his formal education.

Father of Urdu Prose:

“The main keshish card hoon ke koi aisi baat likhoon, jo silay khush ho jaaye”
[I tried to write in such a way that it would be fun for every reader…]
Mirza asad ullah khan Ghalib is known as the “Father of Urdu Prose”.
He is a good thinker and observer. His intellect is full of philosophical, ethical, literary, theoretical and theological character. It is all because of his observation and thinking that he reached a high level of expressiveness in Urdu prose. These verses show how careful and philosophical his writing was:
“Na tha kuchh toh Khuda tha, kuchh na hota toh Khuda hota
Duboya Mujhko hone ne, na hota Main toh kya hota?”
“When there is nothing,
there is God If not,
God would be My birth is my downfall If I didn’t,
what reason would he have?”
The prose we read today in Urdu is influenced by the conversational letters used by this poet. This is what he had to say about it:
“Sau kos say ba-zabaan-e-qalam baatein kiya karo aur hijr mein visaal kay ma-zay liya karo”
[For hundreds of kilometers speak the language of the pen and enjoy the joy of meeting even in separation…]
He has an informal, what I would call a pleasant way of communicating even at a distance. Most of his letters were written by his admirers, friends, and family members. The brightlinemedia is evident in the letters he wrote to himself.

Ghalib’s work:

One of his works is divan e Ghalib. During his lifetime he wrote 235 Ghazals and about 1818 verses. We can find his work both on Urdu and Persian. His poetry was not only romantic but also included subjects related to the correction f society and the British conquest. His first divan was published in 1841.

Marital life of Ghalib:

Ghalib got married at the age of 13. His wife belonged to a noble family. He had seven children. He never seemed to be satisfied with his married life and considered it as imprisonment. Death of Ghalib: After a long struggle the life of Ghalib came to an end in 1969. Thus the long journey of poetry and literature came to an end. He was the one laying the first brick of modern poetry. We might not know much about him yet we use his verses every now and then in our cbdclocks lives.
