Arizona Republican Congresswoman Martha McSally called on the national GOP to "grow a pair of ovaries" as she launched her bid for the U.S. Senate on Friday, joining the race to replace retiring GOP Sen. Jeff Flake by embracing President Donald J. Trump and his outsider playbook in one of the nation's premier Senate contests.

Wonderful technology to help her see! But maybe someone should have opened and read the instruction manual first! 🤔😊😎

Poor PR move esights. Such a monumental moment for this young lady and they couldn't send a rep to set this up for her??? Shameful.

New beginnings for you, everything will be new.

That's a huge box for a pair of glasses...LOL

Parents, put the phone down and enjoy the moment!

A West Virginia bill would require all schools to provide an elective course on Hebrew scriptures and the Old or New Testaments of the Bible. Story: http://bit.ly/2rcg20D

Do you think schools should be required to offer a Bible class?

No...contrary to what many believe in our current administration, there is still such a thing as separation of church and state

Please read the article.... This is an ELECTIVE not REQUIRED. Just like Art, music, wood shop etc!! A student can CHOOSE of own free will to take it. Kids these days need a choice. Hopefully they find something to look up to that isn't sports, music or hollywood influenced.

As it states it would be an "ELECTIVE" meaning a choice... we force out kids to learn other languages.. why not give children the option to learn the bible...

That’s what church/Sunday school is for.

Required, no. But if you teach one, teach them all.

No. Religion should be your choice and not a subject for school..May be in college as a course.

Its elective so that would be fine, however I still think there are better subjects that can be taught on the taxpayers dime that would prepare students for college.

They can do it in an historical context. Explain the archaeological facts and history of the religion. Do not talk about ephemeral or non-provable things involved with the religion as if it is true ("they believe this" is okay). Also, there needs to be equal time spent on other modern religions, including Judaism, Islam, Mormonism, Modern (LaVeyan) Satanism, etc...

Is this from The Onion???? WTF. Teach the Bible at home or in your place of worship, not in public schools.

It’s a public school so no, unless the Quran is offered as an elective, as well as other religions’ holy books. This is a subject best left for college

Nope. Not appropriate in a public school. That’s what private religious schools are for. If that’s what you are looking for, send your kids there.

If you teach one it would be best practice to include an elective for a variety of religions ....or a world religions class in high school. As a parent I would also be concerned of my children being taught any form of religion in school...I feel like that’s not the public schools’ place. As long as the class wasn’t preaching “theology” but purely from a historical and literary standpoint I think that would be ok. As a parent I wouldn’t be happy to see any religion classes in public elementary while they were too impressionable and didn’t have serious critical thinking skills (so not before high school). Private religious schools are a different matter though since the teachers have to sign agreeing to a statement of faith and beliefs so hopefully a teacher would teach theology from this agreed upon standpoint (if your children attend there you should generally know the beliefs and standpoint from which the school teaches theology). You wouldn’t have this in a public school if theology was taught...which I don’t think that teaching theology is the intent of the class mentioned but it could be an issue *if* the teacher was teaching theology instead of the historical and literary text.

Absolutely not. No school should ever be required to offer religious classes. Aren't there plenty of academic classes that could and should be offered instead? Or maybe they should focus on properly funding their schools so that teachers don't have to buy supplies out of their own money. Maybe that would actually be beneficial to students to, you know, learn something that will be helpful to them in their lives. I believe there are plently of other outlets where they can learn about religion. Home and church maybe. Not school!

I think they should offer it as an elective. Something that is there for the kids to choose taking, but not forced to do so. Maybe, it will help with all the disruptive and behavioral problems that kids seem to be plagued with today. I think any class in morals, character, etc., certainly can't hurt!! I absolutely believe in a separation of church and state. But, Hebrew classes, Old Testament classes, Hindu, Buddhism, etc., that are not required classes, but electives could be available.

Churches are for teaching religion. Schools aren't, elective or not. If they want to have a class about the world's religion, many of which are practiced in this country, then fine.

The Old Testament is defunct. Christ fulfilled them. The New Testament was written in GREEK, so they must offer GREEK, not Hebrew.

I think a requirement should be civics and American History rather than religion. The churches have a better mandate for teaching the Bible.

No, you want to teach the bible, that's what tax exempt sunday school is for at (pick your denomination) church

NO only because someone would want them to offer the other so called religious beliefs. Keep Church & State separate.

They need to Iron out which version of the bible first, because people can't even agree to that.

.Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.

Yes I do think religion should be taught in the class rooms but it should be all religions. Just like it was in the old days. I bet if it was taught there wouldn't be so much hate in the world. If You are atheist then u should be offered another class. That is wrong with this world when they took religion out of school. What is wrong with people are u afraid u might learn something. Don't mean to step on anyone's toes. But it is what it is. Same way with all government buildings when they took out the ten commandments. This is just my opinion. God bless this world

NO!!! Separation of church and state. “The Bible” is nit a language. Spanish,Arabic, Chinese would be useful in this 21st century.

As long as they also teach the Koran and don’t skip over the Hebrew Scriptures to get to the Second Testament.

No. I'll accept a world religions class though. Requiring a single religion violates our 1st Amendment.
